About Airpura

When Helder Pedro started Airpura Industries nearly two decades ago, he was on a mission to ensure people had clean indoor air. Helder recognized that outdoor air quality was declining and could affect the air quality in peoples homes and, in turn, peoples health and livelihood. As a result, Helder developed a prototype for an air purifier that effectively removed allergens, chemicals, bacteria, and viruses from the air.

Today, the Canada-based company has carved out its lane in the industry, earning a reputation for creating solutions that help people breathe cleaner, healthier air. One of its most popular product lines is the 600 series. This line features various models built with Airpuras patented filtration system, which effectively captures 99.97 percent of airborne pollutants — such as smoke, allergens, and chemicals — as small as 0.3 microns.

Airpura has grown to become a global company with manufacturing facilities in Laval and has more than 100 distributors worldwide, including the United States, Canada, China, and Korea. Ultimately, Airpura is committed to developing solutions that bring clean indoor air to people worldwide. Airpura Customer Reviews:

I love this thing!

I love this thing! Two years ago, I painted my house with low VOC paint. I aired the house out every chance I got. However, It still smelled like paint when I came into the house from the garage or outdoors. If I was out of town for a week and kept all the windows closed, the house always smelled “stale” when I came home. I ran the V600 for about a week at 60%, and the paint/stale smell was gone. I now run it on low setting, and my house smells “fresh” when I come in from the garage or outside. My neighbor came over the other day and remarked about how nice it smelled in my house.

The one downside is it’s a little loud even on low – still worth it for us!

Using in our walkout basement, which we fully renovated last year. I got it for general air filtration and VOC removal since we have young kids and sensitive noses. It works well in its designated space- so well it makes other spaces feel less fresh – thinking of getting another one! No smell from the unit – tried several before this, and they were all offgassing terribly! The one downside is it’s a little loud even on low – still worth it for us!

After about ten cigars now, I can say it works perfectly.

I bought the T600 for my house because I recently took up cigar smoking again. With warm summer months gone, my choices were to give up the occasional cigars or freeze outside smoking them. So I researched and found the T-600 had the largest activated carbon filter I could find (26 lbs). After about ten cigars now, I can say it works perfectly. I crank it up when I’m smoking and then let run on low overnight after that. The cigar smell is gone in a 20×30 room within about 2 hours of finishing the cigar. I let it run overnight just to ensure complete removal. I got a second one for my office, so now I can enjoy an occasional cigar at work! My only tip is don’t let the cigar butt sit in the ashtray. Toss it. It’s a nonstop odor producer. The purifier clears that smell too, but only after it has filled the room and then reached the purifier.

This air purifier does not work

This air purifier does not work. It barely sucks in any air, so I dont know how it could filter anything. I called their customer service, and they said you have to turn it on high for it to be used effectively. This is a joke; the sound is so loud you could not be in a room with it while its set on high. I demanded my money back, and instead, they just sent me another one who still doesnt work even on high.

Costs for Airpura Air Purifiers

Depending on the size, features, and brand, a quality air purifier can cost between $100 to $1000 in the market today. While Airpura is one of the higher-priced brands, the company offers an extensive product line and variety in purifiers, meaning there’s an air purifier that can fit anyone’s budget and needs. Airpura’s V600 is one of the company’s cheapest options at $699.99.

However, if you want more features and have the extra cash, you can undoubtedly benefit from the T600 DLX, which is $899.99. Although your initial air purifier purchase will include the proper filter, it would help if you factored in the filter replacement costs to know how much you’ll spend maintaining your purifier. As a result, you and your family will continue to breathe cleaner, healthier safe.

Filter Replacement Costs

Depending on the Airpura purifier you choose, you may need to replace one or more of your filters once each year or every five years.  For example, the V600’s HEPA filter, which captures 99.97 percent of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns such as dust and pollen — should be replaced every three to five years. However, the unit’s pre-filter should be replaced once a year, and you need to replace the 18-pound Carbon Filter every two years.

Additionally, you may have to replace filters sooner depending on your air purifier and environment. Replacement filters cost between $50 and $500 each. While this can add up over time, it’s essential to keep your indoor air as healthy and clean as possible.

Warranty

All Airpura purifiers come with a five-year warranty. After purchasing your unit, you must register your warranty via AirpuraWarranty Registration” page on its website. The warranty form is easy to fill out and should not require help filling it out. To be eligible for Airpuras five-year warranty, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Products, except filters and UV lamps, must be purchased from an Authorized Dealer
  • Products must prove to be defective by faulty artistry or materials
  • Must be within the five years from the date of original purchase
  • Any products being returned or repaired must have a Return Authorization number

If conditions are considered met, the company will either repair or replace the part or product, for free, for labor only. If Airpura finds you need any replacement parts, the company will charge you to replace those parts.

You must contact the Authorized Dealer’s customer service team where you purchased your Airpura purifier. Once you tell them youd like to have a product returned or repaired, they will provide you with a Return Authorization (RA) number before shipping it back. If this number isnt visible on your external packaging, this will delay your service or repair process. Airpura will not accept and will return any shipments without the RA number.

Find an Airpura Purifier for Smoke

Air purifiers capture harmful airborne chemicals, send them through a combination of filters, and then release the clean air back out, making them a best-bet for eliminating allergens. Moreover, air purifiers can eliminate the harmful chemicals in smoke, which can trigger allergic reactions such as itchy eyes, coughing, sneezing, congestion, and more. Inhaling smoke can even lead to serious health problems such as cancer and heart disease.

Air purifiers remove smoke in two primary ways: an activated carbon filter and a HEPA filter. A HEPA filter captures up to 99 percent of airborne pollutants as small as .03 microns. Airpura purifiers not only come with a Carbon filter that adsorbs VOCs, formaldehyde, and other harmful chemicals. Ultimately, if you or a loved one needs relief from smoke, smoke odors, chemicals, and more, purchasing an Airpura purifier is the best-bet.

Find an Airpura Purifier for Asthma

If you or a family member struggles with allergies or asthma, Airpura’s purifiers may be the right fit. All Airpura purifiers feature a HEPA filter, which captures up to 99.97 percent of harmful airborne allergens and particles as large as 0.3 microns. Household chemicals can also often trigger asthma and allergy symptoms.

Often, the lungs’ airways can become inflamed after inhaling harmful airborne pollutants and can lead to serious health concerns, especially if you already have asthma. Some of the symptoms include shortness of breath, wheezing, chest pain, and coughing. As a result, this can not only put you at risk for an asthma attack, but you can also have trouble sleeping.

Fortunately, Airpura offers purifiers with activated carbon to adsorb chemicals, gases, allergens, and asthma. When choosing the right Airpura purifier for asthma, you must consider the space’s size to ensure your purifier has the right coverage area. For example, if your living room is 1,500 square feet, be sure to choose an air purifier that covers at least 1,500 square feet to get the best results. The V600 expertly cleans the air in rooms up to 2,000 square feet, making the purifier an excellent option for large and extra-large rooms.

Placement For Your Airpura Air Purifier

Because of their design for single room use, it can be challenging to place them. However, it is easier to do when you know where not to place it. It would help if you did not put your purifier behind the couch, in a corner, and in other places that can prevent it from effectively purifying your air.

So, where should an air purifier be placed? According to Learn Metrics, an air purifier should be in places with the highest airflow, such as doorways, walls, and near windows. It’s even more beneficial to put your air purifier in the room where harmful airborne pollutants are the highest. For example, if you have pet odor and pet dander in your living room from your furry friend, place it there. Maybe your kitchen has a constant aroma from all cooking you do since you’re home more often. Or, if there’s mold growing in your bathroom from excess moisture and humidity, that would be an excellent option.

If you still can’t decide just yet, no worries! All room sizes can benefit from cleaner air if the unit is the right size for the specific room’s coverage area. For example, the T600 DLX air purifier is best for large and extra-large rooms, including bedrooms and living rooms, up to 2000 square feet.

Bottom Line

Although on the higher end in price, they are a top leading brand in Canada. Having a variety of air purifier options, you can be confident they have one to fit your needs. Their unique filtration system and energy-efficient purifiers has made them a trusted brand for millions when it comes to expertly cleaning air.
