AllerAir’s 5000 Exec is ideal for chemical concerns. Its all-steel construction misses the mark on style but offers nice durability.

The Good
The AllerAir 5000 Exec is absolutely one of the best units on the market for serious chemical or smoke concerns. Its all-steel construction is extremely durable, and while it’s not made in the USA like Austin Air, it is made in Canada, so it comes close.
The Bad
Much like the Austin Air HealthMate, the AllerAir 5000 Exec might be overkill if you do not have a serious chemical, smoke, or odor concern. It is also a heavy unit with a difficult-to-change filter that requires unscrewing. The 5000 Exec would be rated above the Austin Air Healthmate, however it can sometimes take up to 4 weeks for a customer to receive their unit after ordering. The delay may be due to units being made to order, which is great if you’re willing to wait.
Summary
One of the best chemical removal units you can buy, but it’s very heavy and can take a while for your shipment to arrive.
