During these challenging times, it’s more than understandable that you want to ensure your family breathes clean air at all times. While there is a myriad of air cleaning solutions to choose from, an air purifier is a wise choice. Air purifiers eliminate harmful airborne pollutants that can not only make it hard for you and your family to breathe but also trigger allergic reactions and develop severe illnesses.

The first step to creating healthier indoor air in your home starts with researching so you’ll understand the features and technology you need to make the best decision to meet your needs. The best air purifiers have a HEPA filter, which captures up to 99.97 percent of airborne particles, including dust, mold, pet dander, odors, smoke, and other allergens and viruses.

Austin Air Systems is a brand that has carved out its lane in the air cleaner industry for three decades. Austin Air currently offers nine high-quality air purifiers that help you achieve healthy indoor air at home. Whether you are a first-time air purifier buyer on a budget, need an air purifier for your large living room, or a smaller unit for your office, Austin Air offers many air purifiers to meet your needs.

About Austin Air

Austin Air Systems has become the leading indoor air cleaner manufacturer in the United States since its founding three decades ago. With headquarters in Buffalo, N.Y.,  the company has one of the most extensive manufacturing facilities in the world, producing filters, powder coat paint, metal housing, and more. Unlike its competitors — who use plastic, off-gassing, and polystyrene — Austin Air’s air purifiers are created using solid steel and non-toxic powder coated paint.

The company also stands out with air purifiers equipped with 780 inches of Activated Carbon and 60 square feet of True Medical-Grade HEPA, ensuring a long-lasting filter and eliminating viruses, bacteria, and allergens. While competitor’s air purifiers may come with Activated Carbon, they aren’t equipped with nearly as much as Austin Air’s units, which helps keep your home free of chemicals and VOCs.

Also, the indoor air cleaner manufacturer has been consistently recommended by world-renowned organizations, including FEMA, Red Cross, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), for the effective elimination of gases, wildfire smoke, VOCs, chemicals, natural gas leaks, and other harmful airborne particles.

As a result of the coronavirus and the growing concern for healthier indoor air, Austin Air has provided hospitals, schools, businesses, and households on the West Coast experiencing issues with wildfire smoke with air purifiers. Ultimately, no matter your needs, Austin Air units are the best bet to improve your indoor air quality.

Austin Air Customer Reviews:

The best. Wonderful.

“The best. Wonderful. The Austin is an air purifier that provides medical quality air similar to that found in hospital operating rooms. I have purchased high-quality air purifiers in the past. They remove some dust and pollen. Austin’s air purifier makes other machines look like a “child’s toy.” After running at high speed for an hour, I can “taste” the air quality difference. Austin removed not only dust and pollen but industrial chemicals, smog, and smoke. I purchased the Austin because of the recent forest fire smoke that for ten straight days completely obliterated the sun. Ground-level air quality was so bad that general health warnings were issued for everyone. News reports stated the air quality was one of the worst in the world, even worse than Mainland China. The Austin cleaned the air, and I was able to be comfortable during the day and night. I caution you to correctly purchase the unit that is recommended for the cubic feet you plan to use it in. Without reservation, I highly recommend the Austin for anyone suffering from allergies, asthma, or breathing problems.”

Highly recommend!

I am pleased with our Air Allergy Machine. I wanted to order an Allergy Jr. Purifier, but due to the covid virus, the small machine is not available. However, I will order it as soon as it is available. We have an old carpet in our house, and the machine we ordered has helped a lot with my allergies. I put it in my brother’s bedroom for a few hours, and it took the smell from the room that has been there forever. I then moved it back to our living room, where it works well, and the smell from my brother’s room disappeared in two hours and has not come back. I would highly recommend an Austin Air Purifier.”

— Austin Air Allergy Machine review via Sylvane

This is a must-have for every baby registry!

“My daughter is now three, and she’s had this in her room since birth. This thing is amazing! She’s never had an ear infection and has only been sick once due to a normal cold! This keeps my baby girl fit as a fiddle and allergy-free! This is a must-have for every baby registry! Must have for every household and every baby nursery.”

— Austin Air HealthMate Plus review via Amazon

Air gives off a smoke odor

“I purchased three new healthmate filters for $250 each. One filter was defective, and they replaced it. When I installed the other two in the machines, they gave off a smoke odor. I’ve run them and tested them for at least two weeks, and they still give off a smell of smoke. I’ve had Austins for 12 years and know what the air coming out should smell like. The company refuses to help me, the VP, D****, and other executives refuse to do anything about this. D**** stated they had problems with the carbon leaking out of their filters, but they were ok. They’re not. I am out a lot of money, and that they refuse to make this right is horrible.”

Returns and Shipping

Austin Air’s 30-day return policy allows you to return any product if you’re not completely satisfied. Your product must not be damaged, clean, and have all original packaging and user manuals. You have to contact Austin Air directly to arrange for a return and include your name, address and phone number, the unit’s serial number, proof of purchase (purchase order number) and reason for return. They = will provide a Return Authorization (RA) Number and return address. You will be responsible for the shipping costs and the $25 restocking fee.

Placement For Your Austin Air System

While the design of air purifiers is for use in one room at a time, it can be hard to figure out which room to place your unit in at home. If you can’t decide just yet, don’t fret! Both small and large rooms can benefit from cleaner air if the unit is the right size for the specific room’s coverage area.

For instance, the Allergy Machine is best for large living rooms and bedrooms up to 1,500 square feet. The HealthMate Plus is best for open concepts and conference rooms, while the Bedroom Machine’s design is for small spaces, bedrooms, and offices.

The Bottom Line

Austin Air is one of the leading indoor air cleaner manufacturers in the country. Not only are the company’s units affordable, durable, and low maintenance, they also expertly eliminate harmful airborne pollutants in your home. This includes dust, allergens, smoke, odors, pet dander, chemicals, gases, VOCs, bacteria, and viruses.

With multiple product offerings, each one is easy-to-use and simple to operate. Even better, Austin Air’s units have filters with a five-year life span, come equipped with True Medial-Grade HEPA filters, and cover various square footages to meet your needs. If you have a large living room, the Allergy Machine is perfect with a 1,500 coverage area. If you need a smaller space unit like your bedroom, the HealthMate Plus is a wise choice and helps you sleep better and effectively removes chemicals, gases, and VOCs.

Ultimately, indoor air quality is more important than ever. COVID-19 has swept the world, and, rightfully so, the health and safety of loved ones are a top priority. While we know that home is the safest place of all, our haven can quickly become a place of misery if there is poor indoor air quality.

What’s more, if you or a loved one already have allergies, asthma, or other respiratory problems, a poor indoor air environment can make them worst. Fortunately, Austin Air’s units are designed to effectively remove harmful pollutants and get rid of the annoying symptoms — runny nose, itchy eyes, coughing, and sneezing — you deal with regularly.
