The air is released from the system after going through the entire filtering system through the upper deck. Since it is released at the top of the Austin Air air purifier, it will be at breathing height fro the residents inside the room and will not interfere with the intake of the contaminated air. The bottom plate of the air purifiers can be removed and slid out from under the system. This allows for an easy filter replacement for the user when necessary
