  • Offers multiple types of air purifiers

Quality

After reading dozens of online customer reviews, we found that many customers are satisfied with their air purifier from Dyson. It was frequently mentioned that Dyson air purifiers are easy to operate, simple to use, and expertly clean the air. On the other hand, some customers stated issues with units not working properly, noise levels, as well as issues with the Dyson App.

Features and Services

The features that Dyson offers with air purifiers include improved performance, health, and innovation. Most Dyson products allow you to benefit from an advanced HEPA filtration system that captures allergens, pollutants, bacteria, gases, and more with extreme efficiency. Dyson’s sealed HEPA filters capture and eliminate 99.97 percent of fine particles linked to asthma, allergens, and other airborne pollutants. Additionally, Dyson’s air purifiers provide additional protection with activated carbon filters and its Cryptomic technology, which offers protection against formaldehyde.

Energy Efficiency

Energy efficiency is a significant concern since most people do not want to pay higher energy bills in exchange for cleaner air. Since the fan in a Dyson air purifier doesn’t have to work as hard, Dyson’s units are among the most energy-efficient on the market because of the output they provide. Although Dysons air purifiers are pricey, the companys air purifiers are worth the cost due to the innovation, technology, and high performance they are designed with.

Dyson Customer Reviews:

Hard to read instructions

Unfortunately, the note that asks you not to lift it using the top assembly was not visible until after I had already done so. The setup was simple, and the LCD is very clear and bright, and the temperature and humidity readouts are visible even at this distance. However, much of the displayed information can be read only from up close or on the app. I’m not sure that I’ll ever monitor our room for particulate matter or VOCs, but it is interesting to see nonetheless. Finally, combining the heater and fan is an excellent idea – reducing the number of appliances needed in a room. Unfortunately, a few issues mar this unit. First, the remote is likely to get lost without too much effort. It is small and does not attach securely to the hood (which is where it attaches magnetically.) Second, the heater cannot be turned on using the app – so if you lose the remote, you are truly out of luck. The app claims that this is due to U.S. regulations, but that’s of little comfort. I cannot imagine why someone figured that manual control was not required on such an expensive unit. Finally, the remote is not forgiving – it registers only from specific angles, which is annoying. Whoever thought an I.R. remote was better than an R.F. one likely does not use this fan/heater at their home. Dyson’s price point magnifies the impact of these negatives, which might have been forgivable on a cheaper device.”

Seamless operation and durable product!

“I had purchased this product about halfway through 2019, and it is now Jan 2020. I have yet to have any issues or malfunctions. I took a gamble on purchasing a device that would cost me over $500, but these past months have been nothing but A M A Z I N G! 1) I’m still running in the filters that came with the package, so that’s a great plus 2) the heating/oscillation functions work splendidly! 3) the remote AND app work seamlessly and without any glitch! 4) It still blows out air with the same amount of pressure as if I had just received it! 5) it never attracts dust or gets caught in the system. This fan was the best purchase ever and, in my opinion, way better than the Dyson tower fan. It blows the airway better and filters everything that may have a smell (perfumes/sprays) effectively. Worth every single penny.”

Great alternative to your HVAC unit!

I purchased this in October. The Hot+Cool HP04 model. I’m pretty frugal and didn’t want to heat the entire house with my HVAC unit. This works fantastic! I use it in one room, close the other rooms’ doors, and my heating bill was cut in half. The app was easy to install (if I can do it, anyone can). The remote is tiny and sometimes a bit slow in reacting. It works fine with Alexa, although all you can do is ask Alexa to turn it off. [Side note: If you ask Alexa for the temperature, you need to specify outside; otherwise, it defaults to this device.] Monitoring/reviewing the app’s air quality is nice since the screen on the Dyson is a bit small and not readable from a distance. App also allows for the timer. I only wish I had waited to purchase as it’s now about $100 cheaper from Dyson directly. I live in a multi-story home and will wait a bit longer to see if the price drops again if/when the next model comes out before I purchase my next one.”

Find a Dyson Purifier for Smoke

While air purifiers are known for eliminating allergens, dust, pollen, and other harmful airborne pollutants, cleaners expertly eliminate smoke and unpleasant odors. Air purifiers — which capture detrimental airborne chemicals, send through a combination of filters, and then release the clean air back out — can also eliminate the harmful chemicals in smoke, which can trigger allergic reactions including itchy eyes, coughing, sneezing, congestion, and more. Inhaling smoke can even lead to serious health problems such as cancer and heart disease.

The two primary ways air purifiers remove smoke is through using activated carbon and HEPA filter. A HEPA filter captures up to 99 percent of airborne pollutants as small as 0.3 microns. Dyson air purifiers not only come with an Activated Carbon filter and True HEPA filter — which eliminates up to 99 percent of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns — but also its Cryptomic technology, which protects formaldehyde.

Find a Dyson Purifier for Asthma

If you struggle with asthma, Dyson builds their air purifiers with this in mind. When we inhale ultrafine airborne particles, inflammation of the lungs’ airways occurs. This can create minor and severe health concerns for asthmatics. This can include shortness of breath, wheezing, chest pain, congestion, and coughing. Ultimately, these symptoms can put you at risk for having an asthma attack, as well as difficulty sleeping.

Fortunately, Dyson air purifiers come with a HEPA filtration system that effectively captures allergens, pollutants, bacteria, gases, and more. Additionally, Dyson’s sealed HEPA filters capture and eliminate 99.97 percent of fine particles linked to asthma. Moreover, airborne household chemicals can also often cause asthma symptoms. This is why Dyson offers air purifiers with activated carbon to adsorb chemicals, gases, and formaldehyde. It would be best to consider the space’s size when choosing the right Dyson air purifier for asthma. It’s also best to choose an air purifier with a recommended room size larger than yours, especially if you have sensitive lungs.

Placement For Your Dyson Air Purifier

It isn’t easy deciding where to place your new air purifier because of its design for single room use. However, that task is easier to complete when you know where not to place it. It would help if you did not put it in a corner, behind the couch, and in other places to prevent it from effectively purifying your air. Another example is behind your bookcase in the living room, which would block the purifier from effectively doing its job.

So, where should you put your new air purifier?  According to LearnMetrics, air purifiers should be in places with the highest airflow. These places include doorways, walls, near windows, and more. Another helpful tip is to place air purifiers in the room where harmful airborne pollutants are the highest. For example, if you have pet odor and pet dander in your living room from your furry friend, house it there. Maybe your kitchen has a constant aroma from all cooking you do since you’re home more often. Or, perhaps, there’s mold growing in your bathroom from all of the excess moisture and humidity.

All of these spaces are excellent choices because they need pollutants removed. If you have multiple options, it will help if you considered buying more than one unit to meet each room’s needs. Moreover, if you still haven’t decided on the best place yet, don’t worry. All room sizes can benefit from cleaner air if the unit is the right size for the specific room’s coverage area. For example, Dyson’s Pure Hot + Cool HP04 air purifier is best for medium-sized rooms — including bedrooms and bathrooms — up to 290 square feet.
